Get a clear overview of asset availability and stock levels with our new Catalog feature — helping you to streamline your IT asset inventory management, including equipment allocation and purchasing decisions.
Easily monitor asset availability and identify items that are low in stock and need reordering with our new Catalog functionality.
The Catalog allows you to group assets into relevant categories, and display inventory levels based on asset status.
The Catalog is fully customizable to meet your specific needs.

You must be a Setyl Owner to build and edit the Catalog. Owners, Managers and Supervisors can all view the Catalog.
Here’s how to build and add assets to your Catalog:
Navigate to the new Catalog menu item on the left side of your Setyl account.
Note: To accommodate this and many more upcoming features, we’ve reorganized the main menu. You will now find Invoices and Documents under Reports, and Support in your avatar dropdown menu on the top right.
Click + Add new Category on the top right. Enter a name for your category and select an icon to represent it.
For example, you might want to create a category for “Apple laptops,” “Developer laptops,” “28-inch monitors” or “Sales headsets.”
Choose which stock levels to include or exclude from your Catalog overview, based on asset status, to ensure a tailored view that suits your needs.
For example, you might only want to display “Available” assets, or view inventory levels for multiple status types.

You can add assets to your category in various ways, including:
You can verify whether an individual asset has been added to a Catalog Category by opening the asset profile, and going to the Overview tab > Status & Assignments > Catalog Category.

Visit our support center for more on how to set up and use the Catalog.
The Catalog Categories will form part of our upcoming Onboarding Templates. These templates will allow you to create a checklist of assets and licenses to allocate to new employees, based on their role, location, seniority or other criteria.
In addition, the Catalog functionality marks the first step toward the introduction of our employee requests and approvals feature, which will enable end users to request assets and licenses directly through Setyl.
We hope you find this new Catalog feature helpful! Do you have any feedback? Share your ideas via your account manager or the Setyl roadmap in your account.
