1. Manage and audit all application users at the App level

Streamline user and license management, improve visibility, and simplify audits with the latest improvements to our App functionality, including new structure and data import.

These improvements lay the groundwork for several more upcoming features, including direct app connections, license rightsizing and user deprovisioning within Setyl.

View all users in one place

You can now record and manage all application users, admins and license holders at the application (App) level. This update consolidates all user data in one place, making it easier to review and manage. 

Easily import user data into Setyl

Populate your App user data by importing a list of users and related information from your third-party applications or spreadsheets directly into Setyl, with our updated user list upload feature. Setyl will then automatically map their role levels, last activity dates and license types (where available), saving you time and ensuring accuracy.

To upload a list of users, go to your App profile, then Licenses > People. Click Upload list of users and follow the guided steps.

Audit your data and make savings

When you upload your user list, Setyl will flag any outdated data and/or discrepancies for review. This allows you to audit both your third-party application and Setyl databases, and cancel or redistribute any unused licenses — helping you to keep your data up-to-date and reduce wasted spend. 

2. Gain deeper insights into your integrations

Enjoy improved reliability and visibility into your integrations with our redesigned sync engine, which now features:

• Immediate credentials validation: Receive instant feedback on the validity of your credentials when establishing the initial connection.
• Comprehensive sync history: Access a log of past syncs, alongside real-time progress monitoring of ongoing synchronizations.

These improvements are available now for HiBob and Kandji, with more integrations to follow soon.

To access the sync history, go to Settings > Integrations. Locate the relevant integration, and click on the last sync date and time displayed on the integration card.

3. Enjoy performance and feature improvements

For a smoother Setyl experience and to help you work more efficiently, we’re continuously making improvements to the platform. Highlights from this month include:

• Catalog profile filters: Filter assets within your Catalog profile pages for improved visibility and management.
• Sortable Survey columns: In the Survey pages, you can now sort columns in alphabetical or numeral order by clicking the column headers (Participant, Department, Last Surveyed, etc.).
• Refreshed App onboarding UI: We have updated the design of the Onboarding Checklist for all Apps in the onboarding stage to improve usability.
• Performance improvements: Enjoy a smoother experience, including faster page loads, on the Homepage and People pages.
• API query by asset tag: You can now search for assets based on their asset label ID via the Setyl API. This is in addition to searching by serial number and UUID.

4. Become a beta tester for our new Slack integration

To help you streamline your software asset and license management, we are building direct connections between Setyl and selected software applications. 

Not only will this ensure that accurate data — including assignees, activity dates, contractual information and more — is synced automatically, but it will also allow for user (de)provisioning directly inside Setyl and optimized license rightsizing.
