New features for June 2024

We have a shorter roundup of feature updates this month, as we’re working on something much bigger behind the scenes.

1. Sync your Lansweeper data

Automatically import assets, identify shadow IT, and turn Setyl into your source of truth with our MDM and RMM integrations — which now also include Lansweeper.

Our MDM and RMM connections allow you to discover and import listed assets, together with their specifications, installed software and assignees, into your Setyl account.

In addition to Lansweeper, our MDM and RMM integrations and other asset detection sources include Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, Jamf, Okta, JumpCloud, N-able N-central, Cisco Meraki, Datto, Kandji, Snipe-IT, SimpleMDM, Google Endpoint Management, and Atera.

2. Enjoy a faster Setyl experience 

Things are speeding up! To continue to give you the best user experience possible and help you complete your tasks faster, we’ve been working on boosting the general performance of the Setyl platform — including making some pages up to 7 times faster.

We are rolling out these performance improvements incrementally. You should already notice a difference on some pages, with more enhancements coming soon.

3. Effectively monitor the lifecycle of your assets

Feature reminder: Don’t forget to use our asset lifecycle functionality to help you more effectively manage asset replacements, make more accurate spend forecasts, and mitigate risks.

Use this feature to map the expected useful lifecycle of your assets, and receive notifications as they near the end of their lifecycle.

You can set a default lifecycle length for each asset type, with the flexibility to override it for individual assets as needed.

To set a default lifecycle length, navigate to Settings > Company Settings > Asset Type, locate the asset type and click Edit. Alternatively, select one or bulk select multiple assets to manually add or override the useful lifecycle length.
